Tony Bloom outlines what he's 'desperate' for Brighton to achieve as expectations emerge
Brighton owner Tony Bloom has opened up on what he expects to see from his side next season.

Brighton chairman and lifelong supporter Tony Bloom has set out his side's next goal as he aims to lead the Seagulls to their first trophy in their 124-year history.
The 2024/25 season was something of an underdog year across England. Newcastle won the Carabao Cup, which was their first trophy in nearly 56 years and their first domestic trophy since 1955. Tottenham won the Europa League, which was their first trophy since they beat Chelsea in the Carling Cup in 2008, before Seagulls’ rivals Crystal Palace won the FA Cup, their first major trophy in their history.
Bloom is now keen for his Brighton side to join those in lifting silverware, telling The Observer: “We’re fairly desperate to win a trophy, regardless of last year’s success by other clubs. I’m not saying the Premier League’s impossible to win, but it’s very, very difficult. Top five would be superb if we were to get there, because it would mean a Champions League place.”
