Fabian Hurzeler has hinted that Stefanos Tzimas may be forced to wait to make his Premier League debut, despite impressing in Brighton’s 6-0 win over Oxford United in the Carabao Cup second round.

The Greek forward came off of the bench to bag a late brace before teeing up fellow new signing Tommy Watson for a debut goal as well, and the Greek international’s cameo has quickly prompted conversations about why he may be ready to step up this weekend.

Hurzeler has previously hinted that Tzimas, as well as a number of other new signings, were still getting up to speed with the rest of his squad, and the ex-St Pauli boss’ stance has not changed despite the striker’s display on Wednesday night.
