Brighton forward 'ruled out for the season' as Seagulls weigh up Evan Ferguson recall

Brighton forward Stefanos Tzimas has reportedly been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The striker limped off the pitch during the Seagulls’ 4-3 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa at the Amex Stadium earlier this month with a knee injury. Fabian Hurzeler later added that he expected the problem to be ‘long-term’.
The Athletic now report that Tzimas will not feature for Brighton again this campaign as he has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture, which will leave him sidelined for months.
Tzimas was injured in an unusual, off-the-ball incident, twisting his knee whilst pressing Villa centre-back Pau Torres.
