Chelsea are reportedly at risk of facing repercussions from the FA after a number of their stars were caught up in a brawl with several Brighton stars over the weekend.

After heading into half-time with a 1-0 lead thanks to Enzo Fernandez’s goal, the Blues self-destructed after Trevoh Chalobah was sent off for denying Diego Gomez a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Danny Welbeck then scored either side of Maxim De Cuyper’s header to secure a 3-1 win for Brighton, and a handful of Chelsea players failed to keep a lid on their emotions as the game slipped away from them.

The most heated flashpoint came in the 89th minute when Moises Caicedo took issue with Yankuba Minteh’s appeal for a penalty after the winger appeared to have been kicked in the head by Malo Gusto.
