Fabian Hurzeler has reportedly been identified as one of three potential successors to Ruben Amorim, following the Manchester United manager’s 17th Premier League defeat last weekend to Brentford.
While the German holds mixed reviews among Albion fans following his arrival in June 2024, Hurzeler appears to be a favourable choice for the Red Devils amid a poor start to the new campaign. The 32-year-old led Brighton to a 3-1 victory over Chelsea last Saturday, as substitute striker Danny Welbeck bagged a brace in the capital.
With the Seagulls subsequently sitting ninth in the league table, it appears the side’s ambitions of securing European football are currently on track. Brighton narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Conference League last season, finishing eighth with 61 points in what was Hurzeler’s first campaign in the Premier League.
