Brighton’s new signing Stefanos Tzimas has urged Kaoru Mitoma to remain at the club this summer, amid links to several sides around Europe. The striker recently spoke out about his move to the Amex, and the 20-year-old has highlighted his new teammate as ‘very important’ to the Seagulls.
The Japanese international remains strongly linked with Bayern Munich, while Arsenal also hold an interest in the 28-year-old. Although Al-Nassr’s prior pursuit of the forward left Mitoma unfazed, the Champions League status of his other suitors may align with the winger’s ambitions.
Mitoma’s qualities were also recognised by Tzimas in an interview with England365, as he was asked which of his Brighton teammates he is most looking forward to playing alongside, to which he replied: “I would definitely say Danny Welbeck. He will teach me a lot of things. I believe he will also want to help the young guys. We will have a good collaboration, he will give me a lot.
