Brighton’s Jan Paul Van Hecke has slammed his side’s poor performance following their draw with West Ham and spoken about the need for results in these type of fixtures if the Seagulls want to achieve their goal of qualifying for Europe.

The Albion rescued a point thanks to an added-time goal from Georginio Rutter, with a 20-minute cameo from Charalampos Kostoulas turning the tide in the match after Irons captain Jarrod Bowen had put the visitors ahead in the 73rd minute. Brighton only managed four shots on target, and they all came after the 88th minute, which summed up the Seagulls’ display.
