Pre-season is underway for Brighton ahead of the 25/26 campaign, however, full-back Ferdi Kadioglu will not compete alongside his teammates for the entirety of the preparations. Fabian Hurzeler has now explained why the defender, who was injured for six months of the 24/25 campaign, will not complete a ‘full pre-season’.

The Seagulls manager confirmed to Sussex World that Kadioglu’s toe injury remains an ongoing issue, despite the 25-year-old receiving surgery last November. Although the German ruled out the former Fenerbahce man from training, Hurzeler also said: “I'm quite positive that he will be back in two weeks. So, let's see. He will be like a new signing for us.”
