Brighton wonderkid Facundo Buonanotte followed a similar path to many of his former south coast teammates by making a move to Chelsea. However, the decision to head to Stamford Bridge on loan is looking to be a strange one so far, but the young Argentine has admitted it was an opportunity he couldn’t refuse.
The 20-year-old has only played 189 minutes across three games so far, and one of those includes being hooked at half-time on his debut.
Despite initially not being registered in Enzo Maresca’s Champions League squad, he was soon called up due to injuries and played 54 minutes against Benfica and looked promising throughout. He also started and scored the winner in the Blues’ 2-1 EFL Cup victory against Lincoln.
