Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has been speaking ahead of this weekend's Premier League fixture against Newcastle, and much of the talk was regarding the form of key midfielder Carlos Baleba and the noise surrounding him this summer.

The Cameroonian was reportedly a top target for footballing giants Manchester United during the summer transfer window, and that interest - combined with a pre-season injury - looks to have affected the youngster and caused a huge dip in form, which is impacting his and the Seagulls’ performances and results.

When asked about his 21-year-old midfielder, Hurzeler sent a clear message on what he believes the ex-Lille do to return to his best. He told The Argus: "I think it is getting to the time now where it is up to him. He has to take responsibility as well. The noise is over. He can’t change it. He is a Brighton player and, no matter what the rumours are, he will be a Brighton player for the whole season or until the end of the season.
