Brighton forward Evan Ferguson has spoken out on the struggles he has experienced over the past two seasons.

Aged 21, the striker has already had a rollercoaster of a career. He played a pivotal role in leading the Seagulls to European football under Roberto De Zerbi, was tipped to be Brighton’s next £100million star before ultimately suffering some significant injuries that halted his development.

A loan spell with West Ham was expected to help the Irishman get his career back on track last season, but Ferguson failed to score in eight appearances for the club.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s AS Roma came calling over the summer, and the ex-Bohemians star went on to join the Italian outfit on a loan-to-buy deal.
