David Weir reportedly did not leave Brighton as a result of any disagreements behind the scenes despite the surprising nature of his exit.

The Seagulls announced the departure of the technical director on Friday morning, jumper two weeks after he had operated in the role through the summer transfer window.

Eyebrows were raised by the sudden parting of ways, sparking debate about whether a move elsewhere was in the pipeline for Weir or if an internal problem had prompted the decision.

However, The Argus report that neither are true and the 55-year-old has not left due to any form of disagreement or falling-out.
