Brighton talisman and Premier League veteran Danny Welbeck has revealed that he is not thinking about retirement as he heads into his 18th season in the top-flight.

The 34-year-old made 30 league appearances for the Seagulls last season and scored 10 goals, which is the first time he has ever scored double figures in the Premier League. Welbeck also picked up four assists and placed third in the club’s Player of the Season vote.

With the forward still making an impact on the pitch despite being in the twilight years of his career, Welbeck told The Athletic that he is not thinking about hanging up his boots any time soon.
