Brighton talisman Danny Welbeck has praised Premier League veteran James Milner following the Seagulls’ crucial win over Nottingham Forest.

It was a breathtaking opening 15 minutes to the contest at the Amex Stadium, with Diego Gomez opening the scoring with an impressive volley in the sixth minute, before Morgan Gibbs-White equalised seven minutes later with a volley of his own.

However, the Albion weren’t pegged back for long as two minutes later Welbeck scored his 10th league goal of the season to restore his side’s lead after steering his strike beyond Matz Sels after Jack Hinshelwood’s header.
