Danny Welbeck has revealed that Brighton players shared some ‘strong words’ with each other in the dressing room at half-time before coming from behind to beat Brentford.
The Seagulls struggled throughout the first half at the Amex Stadium, with Igor Thiago putting the Bees ahead in the 29th minute from the penalty spot after Carlos Baleba brought down Dango Ouattara.
But Brighton were quick out of the blocks after the interval, with Welbeck equalising in the 71st minute before Jack Hinshelwood marked his return to fitness with what proved to be a late winner. It wasn't smooth sailing for the Seagulls after going ahead though, with Bart Verbruggen coming to the rescue of his side when saving Thiago's second penalty of the afternoon deep in extra time.
