Brighton have announced that right-back Rachel McLauchlan has joined Newcastle United following two seasons on the Sussex coast.

The Scotland international played a significant role for the Seagulls during her time with the club, making a total of 51 appearances.

For the majority of the 2024/25 campaign, McLauchlan established herself as Albion’s first-choice right-back with 18 appearances across the side’s 22 Women’s Super League matches.

Strong defensively and composed with the ball at her feet, McLauchlan also possessed an offensive edge to her game. The full-back often played insightful through balls to Albion’s forwards or advanced high into dangerous areas.
