Brighton have confirmed that Brajan Gruda has returned to RB Leipzig on a season-long loan deal.
The forward joined the Bundesliga outfit on a short-term deal in the January transfer window, hopeful that improved game time would see him break into Germany’s World Cup squad.
Despite scoring three goals and providing three assists in 14 appearances for Leipzig, the call-up from Julian Nagelsmann did not arrive.
Nevertheless, the ex-Mainz star was pleased with how his time back in his homeland unfolded, and he has now been granted his wish of staying put.
