Brighton have announced the signing of Michael Svoboda from Venezia.
The defender has put pen to paper on a four-year contract at the Amex Stadium, having completed his medical in the United States, as revealed by The Brighton Base.
Brighton activated the £4.3million (€5m) release clause in his contract with Venezia.
Svoboda is part of Austria’s World Cup squad this summer, who are currently preparing to take on Spain this evening (Thursday), one of the tournament favourites.
