Brighton have announced that Andrew Crofts has left his position at the club to join Tottenham.
The ex-midfielder made 125 appearances for the Seagulls, before returning in 2019 to become a player-coach for the Under-21s. Crofts was later promoted to head coach of the Under-21s.
He then formed part of Roberto De Zerbi’s coaching staff following the departure of Graham Potter, before being promoted to assistant head coach upon Fabian Hurzeler’s arrival in the Amex Stadium dugout.
Crofts and De Zerbi formed a tight-knit bond during their spell together at the club, and the pair will reunite in north London now that a compensation package has been agreed.
