Brighton didn’t need to come out of first gear as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Chelsea on Tuesday night.
The Seagulls raced into the lead after just three minutes at the Amex Stadium, with Pascal Gross’ corner ricocheting into the path of Ferdi Kadioglu, who kept his volley low to open his account for the campaign.
Brighton dominated proceedings after their opener, though their second didn’t come until after the break. After some excellent work from Georginio Rutter, the Frenchman teed up Jack Hinshelwood, who tucked his strike past Robert Sanchez in the 56th minute to put the game to bed.
