Brighton continued their impressive pre-season preparations with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bologna.
Jack Hinshelwood scored the all-important goal at the Amex Stadium, tucking home from close range in the 59th minute after Mats Wieffer’s shot had fallen into his path.
The Englishman should have bagged his second just moments later, cushioning his effort comfortably over the bar after Diego Gomez had lifted his cross into the No. 8’s stride.
Pascal Gross, Ferdi Kadioglu and Wieffer had all forced saves from Lukasz Skorupski earlier in the contest, though it was Bologna who had created the clearest of openings beforehand.
