Luka Vušković’s towering header rescued a point for Brighton as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
The Seagulls were slow out of the blocks at the Amex Stadium, and they paid the price after 15 minutes when Jayden Bogle tapped home from close range after Ao Tanaka teed him up following a smart save by Bart Verbruggen.
Dominic Calvert-Lewis proved a nuisance throughout the contest, and he came close to doubling his side’s lead before the break, latching on to Charalampos Kostoulas’ loose pass and rounding Verbruggen, only for his strike to be cleared off the line by Lewis Dunk.
