The 2026 World Cup Group Stage is over. Ferdi Kadioglu will be heading home, while Diego Gomez, Pascal Gross, Bart Verbruggen, Mats Wieffer, Yasin Ayari, and Maxim De Cuyper are set to represent their nations in the Round of 32 this week.

Before those games, The Brighton Base recaps how each Albion player performed on the final Group Stage matchday.

Diego Gomez (Paraguay): vs Australia

Played 90 minutes of Paraguay’s 0-0 draw before being replaced in stoppage time by reported Albion transfer target Damián Bobadilla. The midfielder was carded in the 78th minute and will thus miss Paraguay’s Round of 32 matchup against Germany.
