Brighton stars have become a mainstay on the international stage, with 24 past and present players competing across the pond this summer.

This relationship with the World Cup today, however, would shock the Albion fans of 2010.

Since Brighton’s climb from the third tier of English football, the catalogue of representatives has inevitably grown, arguably peaking with 2022 World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister.

Of the 49 players to have played for Brighton at some point and also competed at the World Cup, Swedish international Rami Shaaban is probably one of the easiest to forget.
