Brighton’s poor run of form continued as they played out an action-packed 2-2 draw with West Ham on Tuesday night.

The Hammers raced into an early lead when Jarrod Bowen tucked a neat shot past Bart Verbruggen after 10 minutes, with the Seagulls never truly settling at the London Stadium.

But, against the run of play, Brighton were soon awarded a penalty after a clumsy challenge from Max Kilman on Yankuba Minteh, with Danny Welbeck coolly converting. The striker soon went from hero to zero though.

Just minutes later, Lucas Paqueta left referee Michael Salisbury with no choice but to award the Seagulls a second penalty after dragging down Lewis Dunk, with the veteran striker then chipping his spot-kick onto the crossbar.
