Manchester United cruised to a 4-2 victory over Brighton on Saturday evening, putting an end to the Seagulls’ five-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Matheus Cunha gave the Red Devils the lead after 24 minutes when curling his strike into the bottom corner after Brighton failed to clear their lines. Another misplaced pass from the Seagulls inside their own half then allowed Casemiro with time and space to shoot from range just 10 minutes later, and his strike ricocheted off of Yasin Ayari to wrongfoot Bart Verbruggen.

Bryan Mbeumo looked to have put the game to bed in the 61st minute when whipping his shot through Lewis Dunk’s legs and into the bottom corner, but an impressive free-kick from Danny Welbeck soon offered the Seagulls a route back into the game.
