Brighton bounced back to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 win over Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
The Seagulls took the lead in the 29th minute when Georginio Rutter fired a fierce strike beneath Martin Dubravka from a tight angle after a loose touch from Charalampos Kostoulas fell his way.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side then doubled their lead just moments after the restart when Yasin Ayari pounced on a catalogue of errors from the Burnley backline and whipped a wicked shot into the far corner.
The Clarets pushed for a way back into the game, with Loum Tchaouna having his header cleared off the line late on by Ferdi Kadioglu. Maxim De Cuyper then came close to putting the bed in style for the home side with a fine free kick, but the Belgian’s effort ricocheted off the post and away.
