Arsenal dug deep to move seven points clear at the top of the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Brighton on Wednesday night.

Bukayo Saka scored the all-important goal at the Amex Stadium, with his tame effort deflecting off Carlos Baleba – and thus wrong-footing Bart Verbruggen - after nine minutes.

The Seagulls dominated possession after going behind, but their final product left plenty to be desired, and ultimately Fabian Hurzeler’s side were limited to half-chances.

Arsenal similarly were toothless on the attack, with a dominant performance from their backline and a dose of dark arts helping the North London outfit over the line.
