Promotion to the Premier League is a daunting task and one that requires serious investment and focus in the transfer market. A Championship squad is rarely good enough for the English top-flight so if the right signings aren’t made, the season could be over before it's even started.

Brighton wanted to add more firepower to their attack, so they reportedly attempted to sign then-20-year-old striker Tammy Abraham on loan following his impressive season with Championship side Bristol City.
