Brighton owner Tony Bloom will be bidding for glory this week when he sends three runners to the Cheltenham Festival.
The 55-year-old enjoyed a sensational few days at the meeting last year, with 100/1 shot Poniros getting up on the line to land the Triumph Hurdle. It was the gelding’s first run over fences since switching codes from the flat, finding plenty for pressure late on to beat the well-backed East India Dock and Lulamba.
Bloom will be hoping to enjoy another memorable Festival over the coming days, with his team of three all arriving with outside chances. If the Seagulls owner were to land the hat-trick though, a win treble would pay out over 10,000/1 as it stands.
