Introduction and Context
It’s not often that Brighton are willing to battle with clubs like Bayern Munich and Chelsea for a footballer’s signature. However, the allure of signing Said El Mala, a young forward playing in the Bundesliga, has changed that.
So why are the Seagulls so keen to secure the talent of the German wonderkind?
El Mala has made 30 appearances for FC Köln in the Bundesliga this season, with 16 starts and 14 substitute appearances, and has racked up 11 goals and four assists in the process.
