Leroy Lita appeared for over 13 professional sides in his rich career, and that’s even before we dig into Non-League. Within this collection of clubs sits a six-month stint at Brighton. In fact, it is 12 years to the day that the Englishman started his short but sweet spell with the Seagulls.
Born in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lita moved to England as a child. During his teenage years, he followed one of the most desired paths in youth football, rising through the Chelsea academy, but sadly was unable to avoid the seemingly inevitable fate so many prospects at Cobham face - release.
