Brighton’s former loanee Keith Andrews will return to the Amex on Saturday, this time without his boots on, but donning managerial attire instead. The 45-year-old has risen to the tall order left behind by Thomas Frank’s departure last season with Brentford, as he continues to prove the critics wrong in what has been a steady start to his coaching career.

Eyebrows were raised when Andrews was offered the chance to succeed the now-Tottenham boss, but he has stepped up admirably from his former position as set-piece coach. The Bees find themselves level on points with Brighton in 12th place in the table, winning three of their last five games, including victories over last year’s champions Liverpool and Newcastle before the international break.
