Brighton international recap: Ayari and Kadioglu book their spots at the World Cup

Several Seagulls stars stepped up for their countries during the international break. Ferdi Kadıoglu and Yasin Ayari helped Turkey and Sweden qualify for the World Cup, while Kaoru Mitoma scored at Wembley in Japan’s impressive win over England. 

The Brighton Base takes a closer look at these performances and how the rest of Brighton’s international players got on for their national teams. 

Ferdi Kadioglu (Turkey): vs. Romania and Kosovo

Scored Turkey’s winning goal in their 1-0 win over Romania. That win saw the Crescent-Stars advance to the UEFA Path C Playoff Final, where they beat Kosovo 1-0 to secure a spot in World Cup Group D. Kadioglu played all 90 minutes in both matches.
