Alexis Mac Allister became a key player for the world champions Argentina, while Kaoru Mitoma and Japan shockingly topped the tournament’s group of death with a thrilling win over Spain on the final day of Group E. 

FIFA World Cup 2026 has the potential to be another major showcase for the Albion. As many as 14 Brighton players could be representing their nations at next summer’s tournament in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
