Brighton loan watch: Evan Ferguson bags brace as duo register assists in key fixtures

Almost all 16 of Brighton’s loan players featured for their clubs this week. Evan Ferguson finally got back on the scoresheet for Roma, while Malick Yalcouye registered an assist in his first appearance for Swansea since October. 

The Brighton Base takes a look at these performances and at how the rest of Brighton’s loan players got on in the last week.  

Evan Ferguson (AS Roma): vs. Celtic & Como

After a week of rumours about a loan recall, Ferguson scored a first-half brace against Celtic in the Europa League on Thursday. Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini called the Irishman’s second goal ‘beautiful’ and praised his intensity and spirit. Ferguson started for Roma and played all 90 minutes in Serie A the following weekend in a 1-0 win over Como. He had four shots in that match, including two on target.
