Olaug Tvedten’s brace kickstarted a dominant display from Brighton against Charlton Athletic in the Subway Players Cup on Wednesday night, with defender Caitlin Hayes and winger Sophie Peskett also among the goals for the Seagulls.
The Norwegian produced a superb finish across goal to put the Albion ahead inside 14 minutes, before bagging her second from close range 10 minutes into the second half.
On an impressive night from Tvedten, the midfielder nearly bagged a hat-trick as her well-placed penalty kick struck the base of the left post in the 53rd minute.
With opportunities aplenty throughout the second half, Hayes fired home from a corner kick, and Peskett saw her powerful header rebound in off the underside of the crossbar to seal a commanding 4-0 victory.
