Brighton have announced the signing of Manchester United defender Gabby George, with the full-back bringing both experience and versatility to the south coast.

The Seagulls are understood to have paid a six-figure sum to acquire her services.

The 29-year-old has spent the past twelve years of her senior career in England, playing for Everton from 2014 to 2023 before catching the eye of the Red Devils.

On her arrival, George immediately became the club’s starting left-back and made her Champions League debut during United’s 1-1 draw with PSG on October 10, 2023.
