Brighton produced a lively attacking display in their 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at the Broadfield Stadium on Wednesday evening, narrowly failing to make the most of their eight attempts on goal.

During the contest, Emily Murphy made her fourth consecutive start of the season, with the striker cutting a disappointed figure at full time.

“I think throughout the 90 we were pushing and we had opportunities,” Murphy told The Brighton Base. “It stings right now, but we’ll be okay, and it’s all to play for going into the rest of the competition.”

The Seagulls sit in eighth place in the Subway Players Cup table on three points and have four league phase fixtures remaining against Wolves, Watford, London City Lionesses and Southampton.
