Opposition View: ‘We need to stop giving teams gifts’ – where Crystal Palace could be vulnerable against Brighton

Brighton head into Sunday’s clash with Crystal Palace in excellent form, but the Seagulls have struggled against their fiercest rivals under Fabian Hurzeler.

Brighton are one of the most in-form teams in Europe. In their last three alone, they put Arsenal to the sword in devastating fashion, battled to victory over Sunderland and didn’t need to come out of first gear to put four past Kauno Žalgiris.

However, when it comes to taking on fierce rivals Crystal Palace, the formbook threatens to go out the window.

The Eagles are unbeaten against Brighton since Fabian Hurzeler arrived on the Sussex coast, having won three of the four contests.

Nevertheless, Palace are still getting to grips with life under Pierre Sage. There were signs the ex-Lens boss’ plan was coming together when Palace scored three against Nottingham Forest, but their weaknesses at the back remain a cause for concern at Selhurst Park.
