Coventry City have confirmed the signing of Brighton goalkeeper Carl Rushworth.
The 25-year-old impressed on loan with the Sky Blues last season, playing an instrumental role in their promotion to the Premier League, keeping 17 clean sheets in 46 appearances in the Championship.
As a result, Frank Lampard shortlisted Rushworth as one of his top targets this summer, and after lengthy negotiations, the pair are set to reunite at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
As reported by The Brighton Base, the former England Under-21 shot-stopper rejected approaches from several sides in favour of joining the Sky Blues, having made it clear that he wanted to leave Brighton if he would not receive assurances over game time next season.
