Brighton Under-21s kicked off their Premier League International Cup campaign with a 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain thanks to a brace from Egyptian midfielder Younes Ibrahim.

It was a difficult start for the Seagulls, with the French side determined to dominate possession and cause problems with their intricate patterns of play and clever movement.

Albion survived two early scares from Quentin Ndjantou, who saw his header rattle off the crossbar before having a close-range effort cleared off the line by Sean Keogh.

Brighton grew into the game as the half went on and their resilience paid off five minutes before the break.
