Brighton dug deep to secure an impressive 1-0 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Spurred on by the disappointment of their Carabao Cup exit to Enzo Maresca’s side just a few days earlier, the Seagulls took the lead in the 11th minute through Yasin Ayari.
The Swede was on hand to sweep his effort past Gianluigi Donnarumma after a poor first touch from Maxim De Cuyper at the back post saw the ball fall to his feet.
City went in search of an equaliser, with Iliman Ndiaye among several players to spurn good opportunities.
