Solly March’s departure from Brighton hardly raised eyebrows. The nature of his exit, however, was a surprise to many.
For a player with 300 appearances under his belt who was one of the faces of the club for several years, bidding farewell with a handful of club statement and a few social media posts was a far cry from the send-off many expected.
The situation was much more complex than that, though.
As March has now revealed in a heartfelt piece with The Sun, not all parties were singing from the same hymn sheet after the full-time whistle sounded against Manchester United in the final match of last season.
