Brighton are favourites to win this season’s UEFA Conference League. They are one of the Premier League’s top clubs outside of the traditional Big Six, boast a deep and talented squad, and have a manager who is truly starting to make a name for himself.

However, complacency is the enemy of progress.

Although the league phase of the competition is lengthy and allows for second chances, the Seagulls will be keen to avoid any early slip-ups and lay down a marker for their rivals.

Their first opponents arrive in the shape of FK Kauno Žalgiris. The Lithuanian outfit won their domestic league, the Toplyga, last season and are on course to defend their title.
